Creating a Communication Configuration File

When logging into the Application Integrator, it automatically connects to the default Control-M/EM GUI Server. If there are multiple GUI servers defined in your environment and you wish to change the default GUI Server when logging in, you need to create a communication configuration file. If you do not need multiple GUI servers, you can stop them and delete them in the Control-M Configuration Manager.

For more information, see Logging in to Application Integrator.

Begin

  1. Open a text editor and type the following:

    NsHost=<name server hostname>

    NsPort=13075

    GuiServer=<GUI server name>

  2. Save the file as ai.cfg and add it to one of the following directories:

    • UNIX: /home/ctmserver/ctm_em/etc/emweb/tomcat/AIRepo/_AICFG

    • Windows: BMC Software\Control-M EM 8.0.00\Default\emweb\tomcat\AIRepo\_AICFG

  3. Log in to Control-M Application Integrator.
